It is pretty easy to find gyros or souvlakia in Greece. But sometimes it is hard to find the right one that will tickle your taste buds, hit the spot and make you want to come back for more. O Meraklis is a souvlaki restaurant that serves up some pretty generous portions and you can even get the XL version of a souvlaki.

Not only that, but the owners only have one shop that is open from noon and within half an hour from its opening time it is already filled with customers. It is something that you simply need to try during your stay in Athens. What makes it different from other souvlaki places is that their chips are always golden and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, their meat is always fresh and juicy, their vegetables are crisp and refreshing, their sauces are creamy and their pitta bread isn’t greasy at all.

Sometimes you can come across souvlaki places that their chips are too soggy or tasteless, they hardly put meat in the wrap and the sauce can just taste funny. It is guaranteed that you won’t find that when dining at Meraklis.
