Start your journey in the heart of New Orleans, by walking down the French Quarter. The streets are always bustling with people and live action, so you will surely be entertained and discover something new every time you walk by these blocks. With lively bars, restaurants that have culinary dining and cute little shops; you are able to explore what the city offers day and night. Not only is it picturesque, but it is rich in history. The French Quarter is famously known to be the oldest neighbourhood in the city.
If you want to try their classic and traditional dish Gumbo, then dine at Cafe Orleans which is located in their Disneyland resort. You will feel like you’re living in a magical tale of your own. Sit in the cafe surrounded by the architectural, colouful, balconies that New Orleans has, along with French style tables and chairs with dimly lit up lanterns, hanging on the old fashioned umbrellas.

Let your night unravel at Maison Bourbon. The cute little Jazz club is popular for its entertaining nights and live music. The club itself has a history of being one of the oldest in being dedicated to the preservation of North America’s ‘classical music’. Maison Bourbon is one of the two clubs that still stands on Bourbon street. Legendary musicians such as Harry Connick, Jr, have played in this club. The club has still kept its authenticity, as it has kept the classic American architecture; with wooden, glossy bar tops, brick walls with bright ceilings, patterned carpets and of course, a balcony. So dance the night away to Jazz, as you enjoy a classic Martini and overlook the streets of New Orleans on their balcony.

Take a trip to the elegant and classy Royal street, which is famously known for its art. With Spanish ironwork balconies that are dated from the 18th and 19th century, cute little antique shops, boutiques and fine jewellery shops, you will certainly feel like you’ve gone back in time. Welcome to the old fashioned, sophisticated New Orleans. If you want beautiful scenery, then visit one of their very many courtyards with water fountains and stunning gardens.
